The 2018 Virtual Professional Development Series

Aftershock: Impacts of Attending the ACL Summer Institute

The ACL Summer Institute is a three-day interactive experience that engages participants in wide-ranging discussions and activities, with a focus on skills related to consortial-level planning, program development, and resource cultivation. This webinar, facilitated by Institute faculty member and SEPCHE Executive Director Beth Moy, featured three alumni of the Institute and their strategies for turning the idea of change into real progress at their consortia: Cole Woodcox (Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges), Chris Bass (Claremont University Consortium) and Sarah Kahrl (Five Colleges of Ohio). Representing collaboration-driven organizations of various sizes with diverse missions, our panelists helped those considering the ACL Summer Institute imagine how they, too, might get strategic planning off the shelf and into action.
